In November 2018, Steve Bannon, previously Donald Trump's chief strategist, visited the UK preparing for a speech at the Oxford Union.

The event was disrupted by numerous demonstrators, and Bannon, scheduled to travel that evening, told Jeffrey Epstein in an email: "Activists slowed down my talk don't think I can make the plane we are heading to the airport".

Epstein replied: "That. Is a gulf air departing at 9:50 with a layover in Bahrain". Bannon answered: "U r an amazing assistant".

These exchanges were released on this week alongside over 20,000 documents from the records of Epstein, the late financier convicted of sex crimes.

The release by the House oversight committee includes an iMessage chat where Bannon's name is withheld. Media outlets has been able to confirm his involvement by matching the timeline, events, and places mentioned.

For example, Epstein discusses chartering a plane from the UK for the redacted user in the messages, and offers praise their "Oxford speech". Bannon participated in the News Xchange conference on November 14, and delivered the speech at the Oxford two days later.

Bannon, who is not accused of any wrongdoing, declined to comment on the request for comment.

'I'll make sure you're well looked after'

Bannon served as Trump's key advisers in the run up to the presidential election and during the initial phase of his presidency, but resigned from the administration in August 2017.

He has acknowledged he was producing a documentary about Epstein before his death and reportedly has around 15 hours of footage. In a recording of his podcast recently, he stated: "We're going to release the series, the multi-part documentary, in the coming year - early next year."

But the newly released materials suggest Bannon's relationship with Epstein extended than documenting his life, with the disgraced financier occasionally seeming to act like a personal assistant.

A few days prior to the exchange in which Epstein seemed to booked a charter jet for Bannon, Epstein said: "what's it like to have the highest-paid travel agent in the world ".

Bannon expressed gratitude: "U r pretty good assistant", to which Epstein responded "Therapies. Not Included".

Discussing a visit to "Abu Dhabi" in a separate text, Epstein told Bannon: "I will ensure you're well looked after."

UK Politics Discussed in Exchanges

The released messages also show Bannon and Epstein discussing UK politics in 2018.

Earlier on the same day his address at the Oxford Union, Bannon messaged Epstein: "I became involved in the EU exit issue this morning with Farage, Boris and Rees Mogg."

Then, in what seems like a allusion to Theresa May, the embattled British leader at the period, he continued: "The guys are trying to move on. May today / tomorrow…"

Epstein advised Bannon: "In my view staying as much as you can in the UK. Ideal- so people get the dedication of your follow through."

Soon after, Epstein inquired: "Can Theresa May survive". Bannon replied: "I don't see how however the guys over here have no balls" and noted "Boris ; Michael Gove; Rees Mogg; Davis - someone has to step up".

Theresa May was finally toppled in May 2019 after surviving two votes of lack of support in December 2018.

A spokesman for the political party told media: "Farage has not been in a gathering with Steve Bannon, Rees-Mogg and Johnson." And there is no evidence that encounter occurred.

The US House of Representatives will decide next week on whether the Department of Justice should make public all its records concerning its investigation into Epstein, who died in prison in 2019.

Interest in Epstein's relationships with influential individuals was reignited this week after the release of more than 20,000 pages from his estate.

A portion of those referenced the former president, who has consistently rejected any impropriety. The president was a acquaintance of Epstein's for a long time, but says they parted ways in the early 2000s, two years before Epstein was initially charged.
