Iran Reports Strike on US Base in Bahrain, Amid Widespread Retaliatory Strikes.
Tehran reports attacking a US naval base in Manama, as Iran launched missile attacks throughout the Middle East in response for a "massive" and ongoing offensive targeting the nation by the US and Israel.
Huge plumes of black smoke were seen rising from an vicinity in the area of the command center of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet in Bahrain's capital, Manama. The extent of any impact is not yet known and the American officials has remained silent.
Airspace Engagements
Elsewhere across the region, the UAE, the State of Qatar and Kuwait - which all house US military bases - stated they have shot down incoming projectiles in their airspace.
In Doha, Qatar's defence ministry said it had successfully engaged a number of projectiles apparently targeting the al-Udeid air base, the largest American base in the Middle East.
IRGC Statement
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard stated it was striking US bases and assets as part of operation "Truthful Promise 4", in retaliation for the strikes on Iran initiated by the US and Israel on Saturday morning.
That preceding assault - executed at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far struck areas associated with the Tehran's leadership, with President Trump calling on the people of Iran to rise up against the regime.
Additional Developments
In Israel, sirens were heard nationwide after the Israel Defense Forces said it had identified an incoming Iranian missile barrage.
The defence ministry of the United Arab Emirates announced that the country has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"Emirati air defenses dealt with the missiles with high efficiency and successfully intercepted a series of missiles," it added.
It said debris fell on a residential area in Abu Dhabi, resulting in some structural damage and killing a civilian.
The United States Air Force is stationed at the Al Dhafra base, south of the Emirati capital, along with the UAE Air Force.
